Terms and Requirements
In order to be able to rent one of our vehicles, you must be aware and comply with Smoky Riders terms, Great Smoky Mountains National Park ordinances and obey all of the traffic laws.
All vehicle rentals from Smoky Riders are designed to be used on paved roads only!

All drivers must be at least 21 years old

All drivers must have proof of personal car insurance. Copy must be provided.

A valid state-issued Driver's License and Credit Card are required to rent. The payment card must match the name on the Driver's License. The cardholder must be present to rent.

All Drivers/Passengers must sign a Rental & Release of Liability Agreement. A legal Parent/Guardian must sign for Passengers under the age of 18.

UTVs are classified as medium speed vehicles. You can drive on roads 40MPH and under. Maximum travel speed for these machines is 35MPH. Please obey all of the traffic rules!

All occupants must wear safety belts at all times. Helmets are not required. For children, please bring a car seat if required.

The vehicle must stay in a 30 mile radius of Pigeon Forge

Gas is not included in the rental price. You will need to fill up the tank when returning the vehicle, to avoid additional fees.
Insurance
All renters must have proof of personal car insurance. A copy must be provided at check-in time. The personal car insurance must be in the same name as the driver. In case of an accident, your personal auto insurance will be the primary coverage provider. If your personal auto insurance does not cover all of the damages, our insurance will supplement, and a $1,000.00 deductible will be charged to your credit card.
Also, a RCP policy is available for purchase. The Renters Collision Protection pays for any damage done to the rental, as long you don’t break the contract, minus a $250.00 deductible. This policy is available to purchase for $25.00 per day. Find out more!
Payments
A credit card is required for all reservations. If you choose to pay in cash; a card must be saved on file, you must pay the rental cost, plus a $1000 deposit. The $1,000 deposit will be refunded once you return, and we verify that there is no damage to the vehicle.
Cancellations
Customers will receive a full refund if cancellations are made at least 48 hours in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling must be made over the phone or in person.
Rescheduling
Customers can reschedule once, without a fee, 48 hours before the rental time. Between 24 to 48 hours there is a $100 rescheduling fee per vehicle. Rescheduling under 24 hours is not accepted. No refunds will be issued.
Ordinances and Laws
We want to make sure you are aware of city, county and park ordinances and laws. For everyone to enjoy the mountains in a pleasant way, please be aware that driving a UTV rental is subject to the same laws as driving a car, and additional regulations. Listed below are a few of them:
– Occupants must wear safety belts at all times. Helmets are not required.
– Revving engines, spinning tires, loud music, flashing color lights and speeding are prohibited.
– Improper passing, open alcohol containers are prohibited.
– Per UTV guidelines excess speed of 35 mph is prohibited. Usually, in the city and National Park the speed limit is 25 mph. Obey all other posted speed limits.
Any moving violation will go on your record. Usually, the fine is $113.75 per violation. Please drive safe and obey all of the laws in order to have a safe and fun experience.
